Mitered - Valley Custom Door

A Mitered door looks similar to a picture frame with a clean line and square corners. All mitered joints from Valley Custom Door^® are constructed using a blind mortise and tenon that is 3/8″ thick by 1/2″ deep. The width of the mortise and tenon vary depending on the frame width of the door or drawer front.

KEY ADVANTAGES:

Standard frame widths on doors vary from 2-1⁄4″ to 3″ depending on frame style
Standard frame width on drawer fronts is 1-3⁄4″ (DF-375/DF-475 and DF-395/DF-495 are 2″ wide)
Open frames for glass or mullions are available in all mitered door styles

Please note, mitered doors will expand and contract in response to the environmental conditions. Our doors are made with a gap tolerance of up to .010 on the inside corner to allow for the expansion and contraction to occur.
